Ok, Race 2, this Sunday, 6th March.
After a fantastic turn out for Race 1, can we expect an even greater number of entries for Race 2 ?
Let’s hope so, because Race 1 was a great day, and every member of the Club, regardless of skill level or paddling speed/ability, should be able to enjoy the SSCC Time Trials……because after all, we are the friendliest club, and we want everyone to enjoy themselves, even in some good natured competition.
The Timekeepers and the Committee would love to see a day where all members of the club participated in the Time Trial.
Currently we have over 70+ members, and if you all turned out to paddle, that would be a magnificent sight on the Woronora River !!
It would certainly be a tough day for the TimeKeepers, but we’re up to the challenge ……are you ???
This coming Sunday offers a high tide, no wind, and a beautiful sunny morning……ideal for all paddlers to set some PB’s.
We understand that there’ll be a few paddlers missing for somewhat legitimate reasons (Rod Berry had a fight with a sprinkler, and lost, breaking a few ribs in the process, whilst Kristy Benjamin claims to be suffering a shoulder injury of some sort, but those in the know know otherwise, and Robyn Bingle will apparently be suffering the after effects of a fight with a Brazilian – or something like that, …….you can ask her for more details, if you’re game), but we haven’t heard any excuses yet for anyone else……..so we’re expecting a record field of 40-50 paddlers to take to the starting line !!
Handicaps have been adjusted (of course) after the first race, and you will find your new handicap below.
Turn up, on time, and be ready to give it your best effort……….paddle hard, and good luck,
