Some days, it’s serene and peaceful on Botany Bay where the Dolls Point Paddlers arm of Sutherland Shire Canoe Club practice the dark arts of surfski paddling.
But sometimes, when the weather gods frown down on the peaceful waters, a few hardy paddlers tighten up their lifejackets, shove a couple of emergency flares into their budgie smugglers, and line up for a big downwinder.
Friday was one of those days…
